Racing at GSC

GSC is located on a stunning part of Sydney harbour, with the great advantage that parents are able to watch all of the junior races from the balcony of the club. Senior races also take place near the club house between Goat Island, Gore Bay, Mann's Point, Whitehorse Point, Woolwich Wharf and Pulpit Point. Club racing is on most Sunday afternoons in summer with a club BBQ one Sunday evening a month open to members and visitors The season runs from September through to mid April the following year. Fleet racing is in the afternoons, usually starting with a briefing at around 1pm. The club facilities open at around 10 in the morning for sailors to prepare.

Dinghy Classes Sailed include

Manly Juniors - for sailors 7 to 16 years, maximum combined crew weight 90 kg.
Flying Elevens - no age limit, maximum combined crew weight up to approximately 120 kg
Lasers - no age limit
